So recently I posted a blog about an article in the Parade magazine about what people earn. On the cover of the Parade was a spot about DeeAnn Cushman from Dallas Oregon (Link to her spot here. http://www.parade.com/news/what-people-earn/slideshows/real-people-salary-2010.html?index=42) . DeeAnn was nice enough to comment on the blog I posted:

“Hello, In response to the nice blog you posted. My name is DeeAnn Cushman. I work for an organization called MAMA. MAMA And I PROVIDE medical marijuana patients with education about… Check out the website. Thank you for your intrest become educated.” (http://www.mamas.org/)

So DeeAnn works for MAMA (Mothers Against Misuse and Abuse) which is a non-profit whose goals are (per their website http://www.mamas.org/goals.htm ): “to provide current, scientific drug education to all ages, to offer social and recreational alternatives to drug use, to promote better communication between policy makers, educators, law enforcement, service providers, seniors, parents and youth. To question techniques of advertising all drugs and advertising’s effects on the entire population.”
So now we have cleared up that DeeAnn is not selling medical marijuana but works for MAMA as a provider of medical marijuana education and information. I am still left to wonder who put that she is a medical marijuana provider instead of a medical marijuana information provider in the Parade article. Maybe someone at Parade owes her an apology?

The difference amongst amateur consumption and medical employment of marijuana begs to be recognized. Even though I believe that a responsible adult should have the right to use marijuana recreationally, I do believe, without doubt, allowing for an ill person use of a plant with a long history of medical value ought to be accepted and legal. Marijuana has a great potential as a medicine and more awareness and tolerance is necessary. In Summary, legalize it!

Aw, this was a really professional post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.

This post had some good points, but I’m going to email it to my boss and see what they think. I’m always getting stuff in my email from them, so I might as well share some cool things I find. Thanks,

Hey There, this weblog seems funny and narrow when I open it using Opera. Nonetheless, it seems to be fine in IE. Does anyone else observe this?
